In this webinar, the presenter will cover the basic theory of general eddy current surface inspections. This webinar is designed for technicians who service or have a desire to service the general aviation industry as well as those other industries that perform surface eddy current inspections. The purpose is to provide a technician-focused refresher of the basic eddy current theories as well as provide some insight into the common functions of the eddy current equipment and probes while inspecting different materials. The webinar will have practical theory, applications, and demonstrations to reinforce the theories presented.

Kevin McKinley

Kevin McKinley is the President of Veracity Technology Solutions, an FAA repair station that performs advance nondestructive inspection solutions for the DOD, aviation, and power generation industries. Kevin finished his 20-year career in the US Air Force as a DOD Certified Instructor, teaching over 3000 hours in of formal classroom training and serving as the Air Force Nondestructive Inspection Course Superintendent. After his retirement from active duty, in 2005, he served as an NDT Field Service Engineer at Siemens Power Generation. In 2008 Kevin transferred to a new NDT startup. While at Veracity, he has served in numerous roles from Senior Technician to Corporate Level III in PT, MT, UT, and ET. In 2014, Kevin became President of Veracity Technology Solutions. In 2020, he was recognized by ASNT for his “Advancement of Active Military and Veterans in NDT.” He was a contributing author to ASNT’s Introduction to NDT Programmed Instruction Book and holds two associate degrees from the Air Force and a bachelor of science from Embry-Riddle Aeronautical University.
