Manufacturing in the Aerospace industry involves many different materials, processes and teams working together, or supplying each other, to produce a highly complex and safety-critical product. One of the most important stages in production is the testing phase, which will determine that the product will perform very safely and according to design criteria. This sector is in the midst of a new technology revolution, largely driven by the central theme of “Net Zero”. With this ambition comes challenges around new legislation, new materials, processes, designs, propulsion methods and new skills. In tandem is the demand for increased scrutiny of product-development procedures and the need to reduce development costs without reducing safety, performance, durability or quality.
TWI and Tec Eurolab have long and distinguished track records in delivering bespoke, standard and innovative testing services to all parts of the Aerospace sector. We are delighted to offer this free and open webinar and invite you to join us in exploring current and evolving test requirements and methods in Aerospace.
We will also discuss some of the shifting trends in the sector, which will inform how testing might develop to accommodate the current disruptive nature of change.
We shall also allude to both the similarities and any distinctions, between Aerospace and Space.
The workshop will encourage, and value, the interaction between delegates and speakers, not least in learning from the 'coalface' and identifying practical issues and real experience. It is envisaged that follow-up dialogue and subsequent similar webinars will transpire.
