More info about product

Lizard NDE's LIZARD M8 XL NDE system is an advanced electromagnetic defect detection system for structural and materials integrity assessment for surface breaking or very near surface breaking defect events. System variants are available for topside or subsea inspection use, both operating under the same Windows-compatible Lizard software to ensure a common interface for all users.

With the implementation of the new build standard, the LIZARD M8 XL is now able to operate extended probe cables of up to 200M in length, whether for topside or topside to subsea operations by simple connection of standard subsea Lizard array types. This allows for the use of the topside LIZARD M8 XL system for ‘near surface’ or ‘air diving’ subsea inspection programs, hugely expanding the work scope of the LIZARD system as and when required. For deep water applications, the LIZARD Dive system is available either for diver or ROV-based deployment.

The LIZARD system provides uncompromising performance in one low-cost instrument. Whether your need is LIZARD Electromagnetic Array, LIZARD AC Field Measurement, advanced LIZARD Field Gradient Imaging (FGI), Classic Eddy Current inspection (including Conductivity Measurement) or alternatively choose a user-defined combination of techniques to ensure total confidence in defect detection.

Lizard NDE

Lizard® NDE’s dedicated research and development team can modify or configure our technology and software, if indeed necessary, dependent upon your application requirements. Whether for a bespoke probe type, provision for robotic deployment or custom application, the team at Lizard® NDE are ready to help. Lizard® are able to provide engineering resources either onsite or at our own premises for either standard inspection regimes or the development of dedicated systems and turnkey solutions.

Lizard® NDE is able to supply technology, know-how, training and, if required, trained inspection personnel either in a full inspection capacity or in a consultancy role to assist your current inspection regime, in particular for bespoke or turn-key solutions following close development to support the customer’s needs. Primarily, however, Lizard® NDE’s role is to support clients in their inspection requirements with an eye firmly on providing innovative, high-quality products for a challenging environment rather than competing with our clients in the service industry. Annual calibrations and repairs of the Lizard products are classed as priority actions for our team with readily available spares of most common items including the standard LIZARD® probe range.

Although the standard range of LIZARD® probes caters for most applications we recognise that there may be occasions where a custom sensor/custom system is required. In these situations, Lizard® has a proven track record of working closely with blue chip clients to supply custom-built sensors, software and systems to fulfil the needs of the client quickly, to budget, and most importantly meet the application specification with a successful solution.

Our global network of carefully sourced product representatives is also able to provide products, assistance, advice and spares wherever the location. Our network of approved representatives is growing daily, for information regarding your local agent please contact us directly at +44 (0)23 92449656 or email Lizard.
