Quick-change probes are used wherever access to the inspection object is difficult to reach with the larger AWS transducers. The relatively small, round elements also offer better defect resolution. Instead of conventional ceramics, highly sensitive piezocomposites, which are produced in-house, are used. An innovative manufacturing technique for the protective layer additionally ensures excellent acoustic properties of the ultrasonic probes, such as high sensitivity and low noise.
