Sherwin High Temperature Liquid Penetrant System

Sherwin KO-17 Penetrant, KO-19 Cleaner, and D-350 Developer are expertly formulated liquid penetrant solutions tailored for high-temperature applications, offering superior performance in environments where traditional penetrant systems may fail. Designed for use in a three-part system, these products are capable of withstanding temperatures up to 3500°F (176.7°C), making them indispensable for inspections in industries such as aerospace, power generation, and welding. KO-17 Hi-Temp Penetrant is a visible dye penetrant that excels at detecting flaws on surfaces at elevated temperatures. By allowing inspections to occur at pre-heated temperatures, KO-17 saves valuable time during weldment inspections. The high-temperature capability of KO-17 enables it to drive contaminants out of flaws, while heat-expanded flaws trap more penetrant, resulting in stronger, more visible indications. KO-17 complies with stringent low sulfur and low halogen requirements, ensuring safety and reliability in critical applications. KO-19 Hi-Temp Remover is an essential component of this high-temperature inspection system, used to effectively remove excess penetrant from part surfaces at elevated temperatures. It is designed to work seamlessly with KO-17 Penetrant and D-350 Developer to deliver clear and accurate inspection results. KO-19 also meets low sulfur and low halogen requirements, making it suitable for use in environments with strict safety standards. D-350 Hi-Temp Developer is the final step in this high-temperature inspection system, enhancing penetrant indications on parts subjected to temperatures up to 3500°F (176.7°C). D-350 provides a clear white background that amplifies the visibility of any trapped penetrant, making flaws easier to detect. Like KO-17 and KO-19, D-350 complies with low sulfur and low halogen requirements, ensuring its suitability for use in highly regulated industries.
