The Cygnus 2 Hands Free has a high durability end-mounted rotatable LCD display, and is simple to use, which makes it perfectly suited for climbing and rope access applications.
Not only does this UTG gauge offer maximum strength and environmental protection with its twin shot injection design but it also provides repeatable and reliable thickness measurements due to the Cygnus pioneered multiple-echo technique. Multiple-Echo can also measure through coatings of up to 20 mm thick using 'Deep Coat' mode, so there is no need to scrap or damage the material being tested.
Rope access application is widely used for non-destructive testing / inspection of high structures and other inaccessible places such as bridges, masts, towers, pylons, offshore structures and storage tanks and the Cygnus 2 UT thickness gauge has been designed for those needing to use ropes to work at height.
