MSI Viking, a leading provider of precision measurement technologies and services, has announced a channel partner agreement with Waygate Technologies, a Baker Hughes business and global leader in nondestructive testing (NDT) solutions. The agreement authorizes MSI Viking to serve as an official channel partner for Waygate Technologies’ industrial computed tomography (CT) systems across the U.S.
This collaboration enables MSI Viking to expand its portfolio of cutting-edge dimensional metrology and NDT offerings. The agreement will support key industrial applications such as lightweight casting inspection, composite material analysis, battery cell defect detection, and high-precision medical component validation.
“The channel partner agreement with Waygate Technologies is a significant milestone for MSI Viking as we continue to expand our portfolio of advanced measurement solutions,” said Eric Luzier, Senior Director of Engineering and Solution Strategy at MSI Viking. “Our exclusive focus on metrology, combined with Waygate Technologies' cutting-edge industrial CT systems, positions us to deliver unmatched value to our customers. While dimensional control is at the core of this partnership, we will also leverage the breadth of NDT product offerings for other critical applications, such as defect analysis and material integrity assessment.”
Waygate Technologies, known for its Phoenix and Seifert product lines, brings more than 125 years of imaging expertise to the partnership. Their X-ray and CT systems have revolutionized dimensional metrology by enabling manufacturers to perform internal and external inspections in a single, non-destructive scan.
Industrial CT technology is gaining rapid adoption across sectors like aerospace, automotive, medical devices, and energy, where complex geometries and internal structures must be inspected with the highest precision. The technology offers high-resolution 3D imaging that allows for:
- Enhanced Dimensional Control: Accurate measurement of internal and external features in compliance with GD&T standards.
- Improved Efficiency: Faster quality assurance with reduced inspection time and cost.
- Comprehensive Analysis: Simultaneous defect detection and dimensional verification for optimized manufacturing outcomes.
- Through this partnership, MSI Viking and Waygate Technologies aim to deliver next-generation inspection capabilities to customers seeking improved quality, productivity, and product integrity.
