Testia, in partnership with Composites Technology Research Malaysia (CTRM), has launched the Asia-Pacific branch of its NDT Cadet Academy, a premier training program that began its first class in September 2024. Located at CTRM’s Airbus-approved and NADCAP-certified facility, this academy provides a structured pathway to Level 2 Certification in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) over a 6 to 8-month program. Combining in-depth theory and hands-on practice on real aircraft parts, the program equips trainees with comprehensive inspection skills for aerospace applications in line stations, workshops, and production facilities.
This academy is a milestone in Testia and CTRM’s ongoing partnership, following a 2023 agreement making CTRM the region’s calibration hub for Testia’s inspection products. The training facility is set to play a pivotal role in the development of highly skilled NDT inspectors, meeting the growing demand for technical talent across the Asia-Pacific aerospace industry.
Testia initially launched the NDT Cadet Academy in Germany in 2021, with four successful batches of graduates now working in NDT inspection, engineering, and product development. The Malaysia program marks Testia’s commitment to expanding its training footprint globally, reinforcing Asia-Pacific’s position in the aerospace sector.
