Mumbai-based multinational company TCR Engineering has recently established its latest Materials Testing and Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) lab in Bhubaneswar, the capital of the Indian state of Odisha. The new facility, which was inaugurated in the presence of senior officials from TCR Engineering, the Bhubaneswar center's chief manager, and several distinguished guests, is fully equipped with cutting-edge equipment and highly skilled technicians capable of providing comprehensive testing and analysis services to clients from various industries across the state.
As part of its expansion plans, TCR Engineering has designated the Bhubaneswar center as a hub for its operations in the eastern and northeastern states, which is a significant development as the company celebrates its 50th anniversary this year. “We are proud of our experience in the quality assurance industry since 1973. This extension is our first in East India. This will enable us to offer a wider range of services to our customers and help them deliver timely services at a faster pace. This center will be very useful to better meet the needs of our customers in an important market like Odisha. Through this new lab, TCR Engineering will be able to bring the Mumbai lab standards to Odisha,” said Mr. Rohit Bafna, President of TCR Engineering.
TCR Engineering's Bhubaneswar lab offers an array of materials testing services, including mechanical testing, chemical analysis, and metallurgical testing, and non-destructive testing services such as ultrasonic testing, radiographic testing, and magnetic particle inspection. These services are crucial to ensuring that materials and components meet the highest standards of safety, quality, and performance. The lab has already served several reputable clients such as ArcelorMittal Nippon Steel, IFFCO, and Acer Construction.
Last year, TCR Engineering hired over 200 NDT engineers to conduct various inspections for the Odisha Gas Infrastructure Pipeline Project. These engineers are currently working on projects for companies such as Kalpat Power Transmission, Likhita Infrastructure, Powermake, Coretech International, and Essar Construction.
The Bhubaneswar lab is set to be TCR Engineering's regional hub branch for testing, quality assurance, and inspection activities in the eastern and northeastern states, as the company seeks to expand its operations and provide better services to customers across the region.
