Caerdav, an independent UK-based Maintenance, Repair, and Overhaul (MRO) provider, has signed a new General Terms Agreement with global aviation leasing company AerCap. The agreement will see Caerdav provide a comprehensive suite of maintenance services for a portion of AerCap's aircraft portfolio, with a particular focus on Boeing 737 and Airbus A320 aircraft.
The services covered under the new deal include end-of-lease, transition checks, entry-into-service, and redelivery work. A key factor in securing the agreement was Caerdav's recent strategic investment in its back-shop capabilities, which allows it to offer a wider range of services, including non-destructive testing (NDT), paint repairs, restoration, and heat treatments. This expansion positions Caerdav as a "one-stop-shop" for its customers.
Phil Swanson, director of business development at Caerdav, highlighted the company's unique market position, stating: “One of the key differentiators between Caerdav and many other UK-based MROs is our independence within the industry. With no affiliation to a particular airline or parent company, we are able to offer AerCap a tailored maintenance solution, meeting the various challenges and unforeseen work that can often arise when conducting aircraft maintenance.”
