Belgian aerospace giants, Sonaca and Orizio Group, which includes Sabca and Sabena Engineering, have announced a new partnership to enhance their commercial and operational collaboration in the defence sector. The aim of the collaboration is to create synergies between the two companies and to jointly develop military commercial offers. The strategic objective of the partnership is to increase the participation of Belgian industry in the defence sector.
The CEOs of Sonaca Group and Orizio Group, Yves Delatte and Stéphane Burton respectively, met to sign the agreement. The partnership will enable the two companies to provide competitive products, services and solutions in the defence-related aerospace sector.
"Our two groups have complementary expertise, positioning and strategy. We share a very high level of know-how and the ambition to make Belgium shine in the world. Through this partnership, the entire Belgian defence industry will be stronger and more competitive," says Yves Delatte.
The agreement defines the principles of a commercial and operational collaboration between the two partners to develop their respective core businesses, develop and market new products, services, and solutions at the defence level, and create added value through reciprocal subcontracting. The two companies will also work together to meet the future needs of the Belgian Defence in the aerospace field.
