Royma Industrial CT has announced the launch of two new X-ray inspection systems, Royma Cellink and Royma DieCast, expanding its portfolio of industrial inspection solutions designed to meet evolving quality assurance requirements across the battery, die-casting, electronics, aerospace, and manufacturing sectors.

The introduction of the new systems reflects growing demand for advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) technologies capable of delivering higher imaging performance, greater flexibility, and scalable inspection capabilities for modern production environments.

Royma Cellink Focuses on Large and Flat Component Inspection

The newly launched Royma Cellink system has been developed specifically for efficient 2D X-ray inspection of long and flat industrial components. The system is intended for applications including long die-casting parts, large printed circuit boards (PCBs), electronic assemblies, and other flat-format products.

The platform combines a compact flat panel detector with a closed microfocus X-ray tube, enabling high-resolution imaging while maintaining a flexible and scalable architecture. Manufacturers can configure the system according to production requirements, from compact installations with a footprint of approximately 1 metre by 1 metre to larger configurations capable of inspecting components measuring up to 5 metres in length.

The adaptability of the Cellink system is designed to provide manufacturers with an automated inspection solution for large-format components while reducing the complexity typically associated with custom-built X-ray systems. Royma positions the solution as a cost-effective entry point for companies seeking automated X-ray inspection of elongated and large-scale industrial parts.

Royma DieCast Brings High-Power 2D and 3D CT Inspection

Alongside Cellink, Royma introduced the Royma DieCast system, engineered to inspect thicker, denser, and more complex die-cast components.

The DieCast platform supports both conventional 2D X-ray imaging and full 3D computed tomography (CT) inspection, allowing manufacturers to identify internal defects, structural anomalies, and material discontinuities with enhanced accuracy.

The system incorporates a large flat panel detector integrated with a C-arm architecture and an open microfocus X-ray tube capable of delivering up to 450 kV of power. This high-energy configuration enables deeper material penetration and reliable inspection of dense castings and complex geometries that often present challenges for traditional X-ray inspection systems.

The solution is expected to support quality assurance requirements in industries such as automotive, aerospace, and industrial manufacturing, where component integrity and process control remain critical.

Advanced Inspection Software Enhances Defect Detection

Both Royma Cellink and Royma DieCast are powered by the company’s latest-generation inspection software platform.

The software is designed to provide intuitive operation, advanced defect detection capabilities, and streamlined integration into modern manufacturing workflows. By combining flexible hardware configurations with advanced imaging and analysis tools, the systems aim to help manufacturers address increasingly stringent quality standards across battery production, electronics manufacturing, and die-casting operations.

With the launch of Cellink and DieCast, Royma Industrial CT further strengthens its presence in the industrial computed tomography and non-destructive testing market, offering manufacturers expanded options for high-performance X-ray inspection across a broad range of component sizes, geometries, and material densities.
