The ROSEN Group has announced the appointment of Andreas Opfermann as its next Chief Executive Officer, effective July 1, 2025, following a decision by the company’s Shareholders’ Committee. Opfermann will succeed Erik Cornelissen, who will transition into the newly created role of Chief Customer Officer (CCO).

A seasoned global executive, Opfermann brings over 18 years of leadership experience from his tenure at the Linde Group, the world’s largest industrial gas producer. His roles at Linde included Executive Vice President for the Americas, Global Clean Energy EVP, CEO of AGA AB, and Chief Technology Officer. Prior to that, he spent six years at McKinsey & Company.

Widely recognized for his strategic vision, technology acumen, and cross-cultural leadership, Opfermann’s appointment signals ROSEN’s continued focus on leveraging innovation to drive growth across asset integrity services.

“I'm honored to become CEO of ROSEN, a company I have followed for many years, that stands out with its technology and service leadership and unique global team culture. I look forward to working with the executive team and the entire global ROSEN family to shape the future of this true industry champion,” said Opfermann. “ROSEN is exceptionally well-positioned to capitalize on the many growth opportunities as a leader in asset integrity services and I am excited to serve its customers and team.”

With significant international exposure—from leading operations in the Americas and Scandinavia to working across Asia and the Middle East—Opfermann is known for driving growth through technology leadership, operational excellence, and customer-centric strategies.

Current interim CEO Erik Cornelissen, who has guided ROSEN through a strategic transition phase, will now assume the role of CCO, overseeing all global market-facing activities. The role was established to sharpen the company’s customer engagement and accelerate the adoption of advanced technologies and services across regions and product lines.

“Leading ROSEN on its path to becoming the global benchmark for asset integrity solutions has been a true privilege,” said Cornelissen. “As Chief Customer Officer, I look forward to further strengthening ROSEN's reputation for service excellence. I'm confident that under Andreas' leadership, we will maintain our high-performance culture and leverage the many growth opportunities we have in front of us.”

Ulrich Spiesshofer, Chairman of ROSEN’s Shareholders’ Committee, welcomed the leadership transition: “We are pleased to welcome Andreas as our Chief Executive Officer. He is a proven business leader in our markets and brings deep technology expertise combined with intercultural sensitivity and a track record of driving profitable growth. On behalf of the entire Shareholders' Committee, I would like to express our thanks and gratitude to Erik for his strong leadership as interim CEO. We welcome him in his new role as Chief Customer Officer, a key position in Andreas' leadership team.”

Opfermann holds a PhD in Physics from the University of Cambridge and will be based at ROSEN’s headquarters in Stans, Switzerland.
