Orange Quantum Systems has secured an additional €15 million in seed funding, bringing its total funding to €27 million, as it accelerates the development of advanced quantum chip testing solutions. The investment highlights growing momentum in the field of non-destructive and automated testing technologies within the quantum computing sector.
The Delft-based company plans to utilise the funds to further develop its OrangeQS MAX product line, a turn-key system designed for high-speed, automated quantum chip testing. Alongside the funding, the company has launched the OrangeQS MAX Partnership Program, with initial participants including Rigetti Computing, QuantWare, and Peak Quantum. The initiative is aimed at enabling collaboration with quantum hardware developers while safeguarding intellectual property.
Commenting on the development, Garrelt Alberts, executive director of OrangeQS, said: "OrangeQS MAX already sets new industry benchmarks for high-volume, automated quantum chip testing. With our new Partnership Program and support of EIC Fund, we are set to consolidate our leading position in one of the most challenging parts of the quantum computing sector as it scales towards commercial production."
The funding round includes participation from the European Innovation Council Fund, with investor Zeina Chebli joining the company’s board. The program is initially focused on parallel and non-destructive testing technologies, with an emphasis on enabling faster cryogenic testing of quantum chips and ensuring adaptability to evolving chip architectures and manufacturing processes.
With the latest funding and strategic partnerships, Orange Quantum Systems is positioning its testing solutions to address critical inspection and validation needs in next-generation quantum hardware development.
