IEV Group and CorrosionRADAR have announced a strategic partnership to support corrosion under insulation (CUI) monitoring and asset integrity programmes for insulated industrial infrastructure across Southeast Asia, including Malaysia, Indonesia, India, Brunei, Vietnam and Thailand.
Insulated assets across the region operate in environmental conditions that increase the likelihood of moisture beneath insulation. Under these conditions, corrosion can develop, creating an ongoing challenge for inspection and integrity management teams.
Because CUI often develops between inspection intervals, inspection programmes typically rely on periodic campaigns. CorrosionRADAR’s monitoring solution, based on EMGR sensing technology, provides remote condition-based insight between inspections, helping teams identify areas where intervention may be required.
Through the partnership, CorrosionRADAR’s monitoring capability will be combined with IEV Group’s regional engineering and asset integrity services, enabling operators to integrate monitoring data within existing inspection and maintenance frameworks.
This approach supports more targeted inspection planning, helping optimise resources across large, insulated assets and reducing unnecessary inspection or intervention.
Freddie Talbot, Head of Business Development at CorrosionRADAR, said: “This partnership brings together CorrosionRADAR’s expertise and remote CUI monitoring technology with IEV Group’s established engineering presence across Southeast Asia. By working together, we can help operators strengthen how CUI is managed, providing additional insight that enables inspection teams to prioritise intervention and optimise maintenance resources.
IEV Group’s regional expertise and engineering capability make them an ideal partner to support the integration of CUI monitoring across Southeast Asia’s asset integrity programmes.”
Christopher Do, Founder and Chief Executive Officer of IEV Group, added: “Operators across Southeast Asia manage extensive insulated infrastructure operating in conditions that can accelerate corrosion processes. Integrating monitoring capability within our engineering and asset integrity services provides additional condition led insight that supports inspection planning and long-term asset management.”
The collaboration expands access to data-led CUI monitoring capability to additional countries, supporting operators in strengthening inspection and asset integrity programmes.
