IAP World Services, an Intrepid Global Solutions company, has been awarded a five-year task order to provide system support for the U.S. Army’s Non-Destructive Test Equipment (NDTE) program. The contract was awarded by the Army Contracting Command–Aberdeen Proving Ground (ACC-APG) on behalf of the U.S. Army Tank and Automotive Command (TACOM), Clothing & Heraldry Product Support Integration Directorate (C&H PSID).

Under the award, IAP World Services will establish and sustain field operating teams responsible for operating and maintaining the NDTE system across multiple CONUS and OCONUS locations. The NDTE system is a portable, deployable, and self-contained non-destructive testing solution used to detect physical and structural defects in Soldier and Airmen body armor plates.

The NDTE system employs X-ray inspection technology to evaluate multiple types of ballistic plates and identify internal flaws that are not detectable through conventional visual inspection methods. These inspections are critical to ensuring the integrity, reliability, and life-saving performance of protective equipment used by U.S. military personnel.

The program is managed through IAP World Services’ program office at Aberdeen Proving Ground, Maryland, and supports inspection operations at more than 40 locations worldwide. The work directly supports TACOM’s mission to maintain readiness and enhance soldier survivability through rigorous non-destructive evaluation of personal protective equipment.

“This fast paced, fluid and geographically dispersed program supports the Army’s Tank and Armament Command (TACOM), Non-Destructive Test Equipment (NDTE) critical mission of protecting solider lives by conducting vital inspections of soldier body armor at more than 40 locations across the globe. Leveraging our industry-leading experience in global logistics and supply chain, Intrepid delivers proven capabilities that support the Warfighter and advance the NDTE mission”.

The contract reinforces IAP World Services’ role in delivering mission-critical NDT system operations and sustainment for defence applications, combining advanced inspection technologies with global logistics and operational expertise to support U.S. Army readiness and force protection objectives.
