GBA Group has expanded its presence in Southeast Asia by acquiring a majority stake in Asia Laboratories Pte Ltd (Asia Labs) through GBA Eureka Singapore, strengthening its operations across Singapore and Malaysia.
Asia Labs employs around 75 people and provides laboratory testing, on-site testing, certification, and technical consultancy services across civil, chemical, mechanical, environmental, and construction materials testing.
Through RAK Materials Consultants, Asia Labs also brings more than 40 years of local market experience and a portfolio of more than 100 accredited specialised testing services. The expanded capabilities add further depth to GBA Group’s testing and certification operations in the region.
The acquisition follows GBA Group’s previous investment in Amlab and represents another step in the company’s expansion of its Singapore operations as a regional platform.
The development comes amid continued consolidation and investment across Asia’s testing, inspection and certification (TIC) market, with laboratory and on-site testing capabilities forming a key component of the expanding regional service landscape.
