Ekoscan Integrity has agreed to acquire the U.S. Digital Radiography business of Carestream Non-Destructive Testing (NDT), expanding its portfolio of advanced nondestructive testing technologies to include digital radiography alongside ultrasound and eddy current testing.
The transaction is expected to close in the fourth quarter of 2026, subject to the completion of the applicable closing requirements. Until the transaction closes, the Carestream NDT Digital Radiography business is expected to continue operating as usual.
The business being acquired has roots in Rochester’s imaging industry and was spun out of Eastman Kodak in 2007. Its digital radiography capabilities will add a third major advanced NDT technology to Ekoscan Integrity’s existing ultrasound and eddy current offerings.
From an NDT perspective, the acquisition is intended to bring digital radiography into a broader portfolio of inspection technologies under Ekoscan Integrity. The company said the acquisition is being undertaken to support the growth of the Digital Radiography business.
The transaction will also bring the Carestream NDT Digital Radiography team in Rochester into Ekoscan Integrity’s operations following completion of the acquisition.
The announcement marks an expansion of Ekoscan Integrity’s presence across major advanced NDT technologies, combining digital radiography, ultrasound, and eddy current testing within its portfolio.
