Dexon Technology recently hosted a delegation from PTT Public Company Limited (PTT PLC) at its headquarters, highlighting advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) capabilities and pipeline inspection technologies focused on asset integrity and risk management.
The visit centered on Dexon’s inspection technologies designed to support pipeline integrity through data-driven analysis. The company showcased its capabilities in metal loss detection, crack inspection, and pipeline integrity analytics, emphasizing their role in enabling informed decision-making across energy infrastructure operations.
As part of the engagement, the PTT delegation toured Dexon’s full-scale pipeline test yard, which simulates real-world operating conditions for inspection validation, as well as the X-Base operations center, a facility dedicated to technology development and testing.
Technical discussions between both organizations addressed emerging challenges in pipeline inspection and integrity management. Key topics included geohazards and pipeline movement, along with the limitations associated with inspecting unpiggable pipelines—areas where advanced inspection technologies are increasingly required.
Dexon also highlighted its fully integrated operational model, encompassing in-house tool design, component manufacturing, technology testing, and data analytics. This approach supports the development and deployment of inspection solutions tailored to the complexities of modern energy infrastructure.
The visit reflects ongoing collaboration between inspection technology providers and energy operators, with a shared focus on enhancing safety, reliability, and performance through advanced NDT methodologies and pipeline integrity management practices.
