DEKRA Industrial, along with its adult-based education and occupational skills training arm, the Institute of Learning (IOL), is set to mark a significant milestone at A-OSH 2025. The company will be celebrating DEKRA Global’s 100 years of safety leadership, reaffirming its core purpose: to cultivate safer workplaces, foster learning and opportunity, and honor the founding vision that shaped its enduring legacy.

DEKRA’s consistent presence at A-OSH over the years underscores its comprehensive approach to safety. This integrated strategy combines advanced non-destructive testing (NDT) and inspection services with robust process safety management (PSM) and specialized occupational skills training. These services cater to a diverse array of sectors, including high-risk industries, highlighting DEKRA’s commitment to a holistic safety framework.

The IOL’s competency-based training goes beyond mere technical skill development. It specifically targets mindset, addressing behavioral risks, refining decision-making processes, and driving organizational change to embed a pervasive culture of safety.

“We work at the intersection of systems and people,” stated Christopher Mörsner, Head of Training and Consulting at the DEKRA Institute of Learning. “Our role is to help organisations move from compliance to a culture of proactive safety, where decisions are data-driven, interventions are timely and employees feel personally accountable. Our presence at A-OSH reinforces the importance of occupational health and safety and culture of safety approach.”

At A-OSH 2025, DEKRA IOL will also introduce its innovative emergency preparedness kit and process offering. This structured, practical solution is designed to support real-time emergency responses, encompassing essential first aid resources, critical contact documentation, lighting, and fire extinguishers, all prepped for immediate use at on-site assembly points.

Mörsner emphasized the significance of this new offering, stating, “This offering is about providing industry with structure, clarity and accountability when it matters most. It helps eliminate confusion during emergencies and ensures that lives are protected through streamlined emergency response coordination.”

In a further move to enhance accessibility to adult-based education and occupational skills training, DEKRA IOL will soon launch an e-commerce payment portal. This platform will enable clients to browse, purchase, and commence training online, offering flexible payment options, including interest-free installments over three months. The portal will host over 100 short and full-length online courses. “Affordability should not be a barrier to education,” Mörsner added. “This platform supports individual learners and companies wanting to invest in their people. It reflects DEKRA IOL’s commitment to continuous improvement, learning and development.”
