Since 1988, CONTROLE MESURE SYSTEMES (CMS) has been pioneering the development and production of innovative inspection solutions utilizing Eddy Current and Ultrasonic technologies. Headquartered in France, CMS has effectively built its international recognition and established a strong presence in the Non-Destructive Testing market.

Among these state-of-the-art systems, CMS provides an innovative testing bench that integrates both Eddy Current and Ultrasonic methods. Tailored to meet the specific needs and requirements of customers, this inspection bench enables a 100% inspection of cylindrical products like tubes, bars or wires: Eddy Current equipment detects surface and sub-surface short defects, while the Ultrasonic instrument carry out the detection of internal and external defects as well as perform dimensional measurements with exceptional accuracy.

As an illustration, the testing bench in the picture below comprises Eddy Current systems, including the rotating head RotoETscan for identifying longitudinal defects at the surface of the products, and a Magnetizing unit equipped with an encircling coil for detecting short defects. Additionally, it incorporates Ultrasonic systems such as the rotating head RotoUTscan, which facilitates the detection of longitudinal, oblique, transverse, and SDH internal and external defects.

The inspection bench can be seamlessly integrated directly into the production line, maintaining the same inspection speed, or located at an off-line inspection station.

Like all our Ultrasonic and Eddy Current systems, this inspection bench is fully designed and manufactured in-house, ensuring compliance with current European and international standards such as ASTM, API, DIN, SEP, BS, ISO, ASME, ASNT, API, and more.

To complement this system, our proprietary CMS software, Probus Supervisor Software, effectively centralizes and collects data from both Eddy Current and Ultrasonic equipment while also managing actuators on the line.
