CIVA 2023 now supports a new UT acquisition system that allows SONATEST *.utdata files to be loaded and processed. This update means that users of SONATEST systems can now access advanced analysis tools in CIVA UT, including the 3D renderer, highly efficient segmentation algorithms for indication detection and characterization, customizable and automated analysis processes through templates, report creation, the "Simulation on Acquisition" feature for simulating flaws within a real file, and compatibility with the latest CIVA Data Science module to train machine learning aided diagnostic tools with acquisition data and CIVA simulations.
The image above demonstrates the S-Scan weld inspection file projected onto the weld profile in the 2D viewer. With CIVA UT Analysis, users can work with a single software to analyze multiple acquisition data formats. This compatibility is available for free to all CIVA UT Analysis users.
