ExxonMobil Production Deutschland GmbH (ExxonMobil) has taken a significant step forward in its partnership with Bilfinger by extending its maintenance framework agreement. This agreement is focused on maintaining the gas infrastructure situated in Lower Saxony. The newly extended contract encompasses an array of services including comprehensive maintenance, repair tasks, and plant modifications across electrical engineering, electrical measurement, control and regulation technology (EMSR), and mechanics. This collaboration is set to span five years, with the provision for an additional extension of five years.

The decision to extend this collaboration underscores the fruitful and robust partnership that has been cultivated between ExxonMobil and Bilfinger for nearly half a century. The existing framework agreement has been operational for two decades, and its extension underscores the commitment of both entities to upholding the highest standards of quality, safety, and operational efficiency.

"This long-term framework agreement extension showcases Bilfinger's position as a formidable partner in the oil and gas sector. It reaffirms the dedication of both companies to maintaining excellence in quality, safety, and operational efficiency," stated Thomas Schulz, CEO of Bilfinger. He added, "As a leading industrial service provider, our objective has been to optimize maintenance costs and enhance plant productivity, allowing our customers to focus on their core business."

ExxonMobil Production Deutschland GmbH, headquartered in Hanover, plays a pivotal role in the search, development, production, and processing of natural gas and crude oil in Germany. As the largest natural gas producer in the country, ExxonMobil significantly contributes to the domestic energy supply. Key to this operation is the gas drying plants responsible for treating natural gas in Lower Saxony. Bilfinger is entrusted with the responsibility of inspecting, overhauling, and repairing the components of these intricate process plants, ensuring the efficient purification of the gas from impurities.

The framework agreement covers the management of nearly 140 above-ground and underground facilities. These encompass gas drying systems, compressor systems, pipeline systems, and gas transfer stations. A specialized team of experts in mechanics, electrical engineering, EI&C, engineering, system modification, repair, and production, along with an in-house pump and valve workshop, ensures the effective execution of the maintenance tasks.

ExxonMobil Managing Director and Production Manager, Axel Weiß, expressed his anticipation for the continuation of the alliance, stating, "We look forward to maintaining our strong and reliable partnership with Bilfinger and ensuring the resilience of our gas infrastructure for years to come. The professional maintenance of our infrastructure is a critical factor in securing an uninterrupted energy supply."

The extension of this framework agreement is a testament to Bilfinger's intricate understanding of the industry's demands, bolstered by its deep-rooted expertise and extensive experience. Notable achievements in cost optimization and heightened efficiency have significantly contributed to the extension. The comprehensive array of services provided by Bilfinger as a single-source solution provider, combined with its unwavering commitment to health, safety, environment, and quality (HSEQ), has played a pivotal role in fostering this ongoing collaboration.
