Axess Group has secured the inclusion of Guided Wave Ultrasonic Testing (GWUT) within its existing frame agreement with Equinor, marking a development in offshore inspection services in the North Sea.
Under the expanded scope, Axess Group will carry out inspection of conductors using GWUT across the Troll Field and other fields in the North Sea. The addition of GWUT to the agreement follows successful trials conducted at the Troll Field, which were carried out in close collaboration with Equinor’s representatives.
The agreement reinforces the application of advanced ultrasonic inspection techniques in offshore environments, particularly for conductor integrity assessment, where guided wave technology plays a critical role in long-range inspection and monitoring.
This development highlights the continued integration of specialised non-destructive testing (NDT) methods into long-term service agreements within the energy sector, supporting inspection requirements across offshore assets.
