Ashtead Technology recently accomplished a subsea weight coat removal task for a leading Middle East energy services provider as a crucial component of a broader IMR work scope. Employing their cutting-edge, in-house engineered coating removal tool, the operation involved delicately stripping away the concrete weight coat from a pipeline submerged in water depths of approximately 40m. This meticulous process, executed by skilled technicians, showcased the tool's prowess in handling structures with diameters ranging from 152mm to 1500mm.
