Ascential Technologies Appoints Erik Petersen to Lead Americas A&I Growth

Ascential Technologies, a global provider of automated diagnostic, inspection, assembly, and test systems and services across a wide range of industries, today announced the appointment of Erik Petersen as Regional Director of Aerospace and Industrials (A&I) in the Americas. In this pivotal role, Petersen is tasked with accelerating growth within the North American market and strengthening the company’s regional partnerships.

Petersen brings over two decades of extensive leadership experience within the manufacturing and industrial sectors, including significant tenure in aerospace and defense. His distinguished career is marked by a proven track record in driving strategic growth, operational excellence, and international expansion. Furthermore, he possesses deep expertise in engineered products, capital equipment, and navigating highly regulated industries.

Scott Watts, Test & Measurement Systems Divisional CEO for Ascential Technologies, expressed enthusiasm for the new appointment. “Erik’s commercial strength, his ability to create high performing teams, his lean transformation skills, and his experience with M&A and business integration all put him in the perfect position to take us to the next level in his new role,” said Watts. “We are very excited to have him here with us.”

Most recently, Petersen served as Vice President of Sales & Marketing for Magnetic Holdings, LLC (now Permag), a private equity platform business serving various industries, including aerospace and defense, life sciences, and semiconductor capital equipment. During his tenure, he also undertook interim assignments as General Manager and Head of R&D Engineering. Prior to that, he held various business development and sales leadership capacities at Konecranes, a global leader in material handling solutions, following several years as a technical lead overseeing product management and aftermarket services.

Petersen holds a bachelor’s degree in electrical engineering from the Milwaukee School of Engineering and an MBA from Northwestern University’s Kellogg School of Management, with an emphasis in finance and organizational leadership. His comprehensive background is expected to be instrumental in advancing Ascential Technologies’ strategic objectives in the Americas.
