Ascential Technologies, a global leader in automated diagnostic, inspection, assembly, and test systems, has announced the creation of a dedicated Aerospace & Industrials business unit within its Test & Measurement Systems (T&M) division. This move underscores the company’s deepening focus on the aerospace sector, integrating a broad range of aviation and industrial test stands and equipment.
Ascential Technologies brings a longstanding legacy of delivering advanced, sustainable test systems that enhance both engineering and business outcomes. The company’s expert engineering teams support clients across the entire value chain—from design and manufacturing to ongoing service—providing reliable solutions for OEMs, MROs, and integrators alike. The company’s aerospace portfolio spans aircraft accessories, electrical and electromechanical systems, engines, fuel systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and more, offering both standardized and bespoke solutions to meet diverse testing requirements.
“We have worked with aerospace companies for years and our team is dedicated to helping our aerospace segment soar, focusing on quality, safety and reliability above all else,” said Scott Watts, CEO of Ascential Technologies’ Test & Measurement Systems division. “At the end of the day, our goal is to drive added value for our customers and help them with their most critical projects where the cost of failure is high.”
The Aerospace & Industrials unit is equipped to serve both commercial and defense markets, with capabilities including balancing of rotors and shafts, electrical testing, hydraulic test stands, leak detection, non-destructive testing, powertrain evaluation, vibration measurement, and advanced machine analytics.
This new unit joins the Transportation segment—formerly known as Burke Porter—under the T&M division, which was realigned in August 2024 to sharpen the company’s market focus.
“At Ascential Technologies we continue to realign our structure as needed to ensure we’re providing clarity to the market, and best positioning ourselves to meet our customers’ needs,” added Watts. “Just as we saw significant growth opportunity to expand our technical and innovation capabilities with the introduction of T&M, we see substantial potential for our Aerospace & Industrials business unit—the sky’s the limit.”
Beyond aerospace, the new unit will address critical sectors such as HVAC, consumer appliances, heavy equipment for agriculture and mining, and the steel and energy industries.
Ascential is also expanding its software offerings through Ascentialytics, its advanced machine and product performance analytics platform. Designed to integrate seamlessly with a wide range of instruments, Ascentialytics delivers real-time insights, anomaly detection, and customizable reporting, empowering users to make data-driven decisions through an intuitive interface—without requiring deep expertise in data science.
