Position Summary:
ZEISS is seeking an Application Engineer within its Industrial Quality Solutions division to serve as an important technical representative of ZEISS at customer sites. The Application Engineer will be an expert in ZEISS 3D measuring machines and related software packages and will also be able to operate other systems, including CT and vision systems.
The role supports customers across various industries, including automotive, aerospace, medical, and mechanical engineering. Within the Quality Excellence Center (QEC) in Breda, the Application Engineer will perform measurement and programming assignments, provide training, and deliver customer support.
The position is responsible for activities across the Benelux region and is part of a team of five Application Engineers based in Breda.
Responsibilities:
- Perform troubleshooting and provide software support to existing customers.
- Deliver software training to customers.
- Provide technical support to Sales Engineers during the sales process through customer demonstrations.
- Perform measurement and programming assignments at the Quality Excellence Center in Breda.
- Analyze measurement requirements, prepare price calculations, and consult with customers.
- Actively generate prospects for measurement assignments within the Quality Excellence Center in Breda.
- Participate in trade fairs, seminars, webinars, and product presentations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's or Master's degree in a technical field or equivalent experience.
- Affinity with CAD applications, mechanical engineering, or metrology.
- Customer-oriented and communicative approach.
- Ability to work independently.
- Proficiency in Dutch and English.
- French language skills are an additional advantage.
Requirements:
- Flexibility and willingness to travel occasionally, as customers are located throughout the Benelux region.
- Residence within a commutable distance of the ZEISS office in Breda, from either the Netherlands or Belgium.
