UTSW Technician

Position Summary:-

Acuren is seeking a UTSW Technician to support a nuclear outage project in New Castle, DE. The technician will execute advanced non-destructive testing (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR), establish examination techniques for customer approval, conduct integrity assessments, and supervise testing operations in compliance with ASME and API standards.

Responsibilities:-

• Conduct tests using NDT methods to ensure quality and detect material discontinuities or defects.
• Establish and develop inspection techniques for proper examination of objects requiring customer certifying agent approval.
• Apply testing criteria per applicable specifications and evaluate inspection results.
• Identify, track, manage, and mitigate risk on client engagements, escalating issues to protect quality, budget, and timelines.
• Review asset documentation, operational data, and monitoring/auditing records for NDE activities.
• Complete integrity assessments and perform physical site walkdowns.
• Prepare comprehensive project reports detailing work performed, conclusions, and recommendations.
• Supervise and instruct other technicians as needed.

Qualifications Requirements:-

• High School Diploma or equivalent (some college and a technical background in NDT preferred).
• Minimum of 5 years of experience in NDT methods and procedures (UT, UTPA, PAUT, CR, DR, etc.).
• Current NDT certifications in relevant methods.
• Comprehensive knowledge of ASME and API requirements and evaluation procedures.
• Ability to interface effectively with customers for scheduling and problem-solving.

Preferred Qualifications:-

• Prior supervisory experience.
