Position Summary:

TEAM Industrial Services, Inc. is seeking an experienced UT Level II Technician to independently conduct inspections using a variety of NDT methods. The technician will identify corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with established procedures and written criteria. This role requires interpretation of inspection results, documentation, and communication with clients, as well as mentoring and supervising junior personnel. The ideal candidate is safety-conscious, detail-oriented, and driven by a commitment to quality.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform NDT inspections independently using certified methods to evaluate structural integrity and safety.
  • Interpret inspection results and provide clear, accurate reporting as per company protocols.
  • Adhere strictly to company and customer safety standards, legal regulations, and best practices.
  • Assist senior technicians and supervise or instruct apprentice-level team members on site.
  • Maintain personal NDT certifications and pursue further certification through study and practical experience.
  • Operate and maintain equipment in a safe and effective manner, ensuring readiness for field use.
  • Communicate procedures, processes, and inspection results clearly with clients and team members.
  • Perform administrative duties including maintaining accurate records of inspection activities.
  • Execute additional duties as assigned by senior technicians or management.

Requirements and Qualifications:

  • High school diploma or equivalent is required.
  • Minimum of two (2) years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.
  • Previous Level II certification in at least one method (PT, MT, UT, RT, ET) preferred.
  • Proficiency with basic math and Microsoft Word.
  • Capable of using computers and computerized testing equipment.
  • Ability to read, write, and communicate in English effectively.
  • Able to handle chemicals safely and follow detailed instructions.
  • Travel flexibility: 0–75% travel required.

Work Conditions:

  • Work may be performed at a branch or site location, both indoors and outdoors.
  • Involves interaction with other team members, supervisors, and client personnel in industrial environments.
  • Must be able to tolerate noise levels and climate variations typical of plant or shop settings.
  • May be assigned to multiple job sites within a day and may be required to travel periodically.
  • Must wear all required safety gear and comply with safety department standards.

Physical and Mental Requirements:

  • Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
  • Capable of walking, climbing ladders, and maneuvering in plant environments.
  • Possess adequate vision, hearing, speech, and mobility—with or without reasonable accommodation—to perform essential duties.
  • Strong manual dexterity for equipment handling and documentation.
  • Capable of multitasking, maintaining concentration, and communicating effectively.
