Position Summary
The Ultrasonic Inspector (Level I or II) performs nondestructive testing (NDT) using specific ultrasonic inspection techniques on aerospace products. This role requires technical proficiency, attention to detail, and the ability to interpret and evaluate test results in accordance with industry codes, standards, and specifications. The position will initially operate on a first-shift schedule (Monday–Friday), transitioning to 10-hour shifts, Sunday–Wednesday or Wednesday–Saturday, in the near future.
- Salary Range: $27.50 – $37.00 per hour (based on experience and certification level)
Key Responsibilities
- Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection of components in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications.
- Interpret and evaluate test results to ensure product compliance and integrity.
- Accurately record inspection data and maintain organized documentation.
- Maintain a clean, safe, and orderly work environment, actively contributing to the company’s safety culture.
- Once certified and trained, operate multiple inspection cells simultaneously as required.
Required Qualifications
- High school diploma or GED required.
- Level I or Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) preferred.
- Strong ability to read and interpret technical information, take precise measurements, and document data accurately.
- Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds.
- Visual acuity sufficient to meet annual vision test requirements.
- Willingness to work overtime as needed.
