Position Summary:

The Aerospace Inspector is responsible for ensuring that aerostructures, systems, and components meet strict safety, regulatory, and quality standards. As part of the Inspection Service Business Unit, the role involves performing inspections and assessments on aircraft, conducting non-destructive testing (NDT), interpreting applicable codes and standards, and maintaining detailed inspection records to ensure compliance and airworthiness.

Responsibilities:

  • Perform internal and external inspections to ensure acceptance criteria specified in applicable codes, standards, or documents are met.
  • Interpret regulations, industry codes, and standards relevant to inspection activities.
  • Perform Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) as required by assigned projects.
  • Maintain assigned inspection equipment and ensure it remains in good working condition.
  • Recommend and approve repairs and conduct visual inspections of completed work.
  • Prepare detailed inspection reports and maintain accurate inspection documentation.
  • Compile and submit daily reports, inspection reports, and inter-office communications in a timely manner.
  • Maintain positive working relationships with clients, facilities, and coworkers.
  • Provide training and guidance to junior inspectors.
  • Complete all required training and assessments in accordance with company guidelines.
  • Prepare risk assessments before commencing work and ensure strict adherence to all safety policies and procedures.

Qualifications:

  • Bachelor’s Degree or Diploma in Aeronautical Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, or a related discipline.
  • Minimum of 5 years of experience as an Aerospace Inspector.
  • Certified NAS 410 Level 2 in Magnetic Particle Testing (MT) and M10.
  • Certification in at least two additional testing techniques, such as:
  • Liquid Penetrant Testing (PT)
  • Eddy Current Testing (ET)
  • Ultrasonic Testing (UT)

Requirements:

  • Strong communication and organizational skills.
  • High level of attention to detail and accuracy.
  • Ability to work shift schedules and weekends when required.
  • Ability to build and maintain positive relationships with stakeholders.
  • Comfortable working in a dynamic, complex, and multicultural environment.
