Position Summary:-
Testia SAS is seeking entry-level Non-Destructive Testing (NDT/CND) Technicians in Nantes to join its growing NDT activities in France, particularly within the aerospace manufacturing sector. The position is designed for candidates who wish to learn a new profession and develop their skills to become NDT technicians.
The successful candidates will be attached to the Bouguenais agency and will work at Airbus sites in Saint-Nazaire/Montoir or Nantes, as well as at other client sites near the agency. They will work primarily on components made from composite materials used in the latest generations of aircraft.
Candidates will join a close-knit team that values friendliness, solidarity, and knowledge sharing. Through varied projects and development opportunities, they will have the opportunity to gain versatility in other NDT activities and methods and contribute to the development of team competencies.
Through the POEI program in partnership with France Travail, Testia will provide the theoretical and practical training required to obtain the COFREND/FrANDTB certifications necessary for a career in NDT.
Responsibilities:-
- Perform non-destructive testing on manufactured components at client sites.
- Prepare inspection reports containing test results and acceptance decisions according to specified acceptance criteria.
- Participate in customer and certification audits.
- Support the maintenance of approvals and certifications.
- Ensure the satisfaction of internal and external customers.
- Help ensure the quality of flight-worthy components in support of flight safety.
- Participate in training new inspectors in ultrasonic inspections.
- Support the maintenance and development of team competencies.
- Work directly with NDT technicians and experts on inspection activities.
Qualifications:-
Education & Experience:
- All educational backgrounds and previous professional experiences are welcomed by Testia.
- Knowledge or experience in any of the following areas is considered an advantage:
- Non-Destructive Testing (NDT/CND).
- Materials.
- Physical measurements.
- Mechanical engineering.
- Aircraft maintenance.
- Electrical engineering.
- Composite materials.
- Aircraft structures.
- Quality control.
- Dimensional inspection.
Skills & Competencies:
- Good proficiency with computer tools.
- Intermediate written English to work with customer specifications.
- Dynamic, enthusiastic, autonomous, rigorous, versatile, and proactive approach.
- Strong interpersonal and communication skills.
- Good written communication and reporting abilities.
Requirements:-
- Valid Category B driving license.
- Willingness to learn NDT and develop a career in the field.
- Ability to participate in the POEI training program.
- Ability to travel occasionally to Toulouse during the training period.
- Availability for occasional travel within France or internationally following the training.
- Ability to work day shifts or a 2x8 schedule following the training.
- Training & Employment Path
During the training:
- Contract: POEI, with compensation provided by France Travail.
- Training duration: 400 hours.
- Start date: October 1.
- Location: Bouguenais / Saint-Nazaire / Montoir.
- Occasional travel to Toulouse, with travel expenses reimbursed.
After completion of the training:
- Contract: Permanent employment (CDI).
- Working hours: Day shift or 2x8.
- Location: Bouguenais / Saint-Nazaire / Montoir.
- Occasional travel in France or internationally.
- Compensation based on profile and/or experience, plus a monthly NDT bonus and Testia benefits.
