Position Summary
TÜV Rheinland is seeking motivated and technically skilled professionals to join the Mobility business unit as Test Engineers / Officially Recognized Experts (with partial authorization). In this role, the successful candidate will perform legally mandated vehicle inspections, contribute to road safety, and support the development of future-oriented, sustainable mobility solutions.
Working directly with customers, you will represent TÜV Rheinland in the field and carry out comprehensive vehicle testing using the latest diagnostic technologies. This position offers the opportunity to help shape safer and smarter transportation systems while growing professionally within a leading global technical services provider.
Key Responsibilities
- Independently perform mandatory vehicle inspections in accordance with legal requirements.
- Utilize state-of-the-art testing equipment to ensure accuracy and efficiency in all inspections.
- Conduct main and exhaust emission tests (HU/AU) under §29 StVZO regulations in both mobile and stationary services.
- Represent TÜV Rheinland in a service-oriented manner and build strong relationships with clients.
- Engage in customer outreach and acquisition to expand TÜV Rheinland's client base.
- For candidates with partial authorization, conduct driving license tests as required.
- Uphold TÜV Rheinland’s reputation for technical competence, reliability, and customer service.
Experience & Qualifications
- Degree in Mechanical Engineering, Automotive Engineering, or Electrical Engineering (required).
- Certification as a Motor Vehicle Test Engineer or Officially Recognized Expert (with partial qualification) is highly desirable. (Training provided for suitable candidates.)
- Strong communication skills and a confident, customer-focused approach.
- Passion for vehicles and interest in advancing road safety and emissions compliance.
- Ability to work independently and reliably in a structured and professional manner.
- Fluent written and spoken German is essential.
