Technical Report Writer (NDT Trainee)

Position Summary:-

Acuren is seeking Technical Report Writers to support a planned outage in the Fort McMurray area. The position focuses on documenting outage activities, compiling technical data, and producing clear and accurate reports within tight timelines.

This is a project-based outage position scheduled from September 7, 2026, through October 17, 2026, with a 6/1 rotation and 12-hour shifts. Accommodation and travel are provided.

Responsibilities:-

• Develop and finalize daily, weekly, and post-outage technical reports.
• Compile field data, inspection findings, and repair documentation.
• Work closely with supervisors, planners, and QA/QC personnel to gather accurate information.
• Ensure reports meet client and regulatory documentation standards.

Qualifications:-

• At least 2 years of technical writing experience in oil and gas, heavy industrial, or turnaround environments.
• NDT Trainees actively pursuing CGSB Certification with some field experience.
• Experience supporting outages, turnarounds, or shutdowns is preferred.
• Strong understanding of maintenance, construction, or inspection processes.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office.

• Availability for the project period from September 7, 2026, to October 17, 2026.
• Ability to work a 6/1 rotation with 12-hour shifts.
• Ability to work in a project-based outage environment.
• Technical writing experience in relevant industrial environments.
• NDT Trainees must be actively pursuing CGSB Certification and have some field experience.
