Senior NDT Technician

Position Summary

GFS NDT is currently seeking Senior NDT Technicians to join its growing team in Kwinana, WA. This opportunity is ideal for highly experienced technicians who are looking to work locally and return home each night, without the demands of FIFO or remote assignments. The successful candidates will bring over 10 years of industry experience and possess ISO 9712 Level 2 certifications in multiple NDT disciplines.

Key Responsibilities

• Perform non-destructive testing in accordance with ISO 9712 Level 2 standards across the following methods:
• Magnetic Particle Testing (MT)
• Penetrant Testing (PT)
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Ultrasonic Testing – Welds (UTW)
• Deliver high-quality inspection services in line with client specifications and project requirements.
• Ensure all work is conducted with the highest commitment to safety, quality, and compliance.
• Maintain accurate and detailed inspection reports.
• Collaborate effectively with team members and communicate inspection findings with clarity.
• Demonstrate leadership and mentoring abilities within a technical team setting.

Candidate Requirements

A minimum of 10 years’ experience in the non-destructive testing industry.

ISO 9712 Level 2 certification in MT, PT, RT, and UTW (all required).

Must be based locally in or near Kwinana, WA – this is not a FIFO or remote role.

Strong understanding of industry safety standards and testing procedures.

Proven track record of reliability, technical competence, and professionalism.
