General Summary
TEAM, Inc. is seeking a qualified Radiographic Testing (RT) Level II Technician to perform nondestructive inspections using various NDT techniques. The technician will be responsible for independently identifying corrosion, defects, or other detrimental conditions in accordance with written specifications. This position includes interpreting results, maintaining documentation, and effectively communicating findings to customers.
Essential Job Functions
- Adheres to all Company and Customer safety policies, procedures, and legal regulations.
- Performs all assigned duties in alignment with TEAM’s Core Values and Seven Critical Choices.
- Assists Senior Technicians and supervises apprentice-level personnel on job sites.
- Gains hands-on experience while studying for further NDT certifications.
- Performs NDT inspections as certified.
- Interprets results, maintains inspection documentation, and communicates findings.
- Handles chemicals and testing equipment in a safe and responsible manner.
- Maintains current NDT certifications and participates in continuous training.
Job Qualifications
- High school diploma or equivalent required.
- Minimum 2 years of experience in the NDT field as a certified technician in at least two methods.
- Previous Level II certification in at least one of the following: RT, PT, MT, UT, ET preferred.
- Proficiency with Microsoft Word and basic computer operation.
- Strong understanding of basic mathematics.
- Effective English communication skills (reading, writing, speaking).
- Willingness and ability to travel (0–75%).
- Ability to follow instructions and work both independently and in a team setting.
Work Conditions
- Based at a branch or specific job site.
- Fieldwork may include both indoor and outdoor environments.
- Frequent interaction with team members, supervisors, and client personnel.
- Exposure to loud production machinery and industrial settings.
- Must wear appropriate personal protective equipment (PPE) at all times.
- Ability to tolerate varying climate conditions.
- May require out-of-town travel on occasion.
Physical & Mental Requirements
- Ability to lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Must be able to walk, climb ladders/stairs, and access elevated platforms.
- Clear speech, hearing, and vision—with or without reasonable accommodations.
- Manual dexterity sufficient to perform required office and inspection duties.
- Strong multitasking skills and the ability to maintain concentration in demanding environments.
- Excellent verbal and written communication skills.
