RT Assistant

Position Summary:

Acuren is seeking an RT Assistant to support operations in New Castle, Delaware. This is a callout and travel position responsible for assisting Radiographers in performing calibrations, non-destructive testing (NDT), and inspection activities. The RT Assistant supports the evaluation of materials for acceptance or rejection in accordance with written procedures while accurately recording inspection results and maintaining compliance with company and client requirements.

Responsibilities:

• Set up and utilize non-destructive testing (NDT) equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in the calibration of NDT equipment.
• Assist Radiographers in conducting inspections to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods.
• Record inspection results accurately.
• Assist with performing NDT procedures, carrying equipment, and supporting field operations.
• Perform additional job-related duties as assigned by management.

Qualifications:

• Education
• High School Diploma or equivalent.
• Some college education preferred.
• Experience & Knowledge
• Technical background desired.

Requirements:

• Must be able to obtain certification as Trustworthy & Reliable through a thorough background check to comply with federal and state regulations.
• Motor vehicle driving record must meet company standards to operate company vehicles.
• Must successfully pass drug/alcohol screening and background checks as required by the client.
• Willingness to work in a callout and travel position.
