Position Summary:
TEAM, Inc. is currently seeking a Rope Access – NDE Technician to perform inspection, maintenance, and industrial tasks in difficult-access areas using rope access techniques. This position involves working under the supervision of an IRATA/SPRAT Level 3 Supervisor and may include duties related to NDT (Non-Destructive Testing), safety inspections, and rope rescue operations. It requires physical fitness, comfort with heights, and the ability to travel as needed.
Key Responsibilities:
- Strictly follow TEAM's Core Values, safety standards, and regulatory requirements.
- Adhere to directions from the Rope Access Supervisor or Lead Technician.
- Conduct rope access operations in line with TEAM's Rope Access Code of Practice and industry best practices.
- Wear and maintain appropriate Personal Protective Equipment (PPE).
- Participate in and maintain proficiency in rope access and rescue training.
- Understand and work in accordance with job hazard assessments and work permits.
- Pre-use inspection and verification of rope access equipment.
- Identify and report site hazards or unsafe practices immediately.
- Support and participate in rope rescue procedures as required by level of certification.
- Complete technical reports and administrative tasks when assigned.
Job Qualifications:
Minimum Requirements:
- High School Diploma or equivalent.
- IRATA or SPRAT Certification (Level 1 or higher).
- Minimum 18 years of age.
- Ability to work safely at heights and in difficult access environments.
- Willingness to travel as assignments require.
Preferred:
- NDT/NDE Certifications (e.g., UT, MT, PT, VT).
- Previous experience in industrial inspection or rope access environments.
Work Conditions:
- Outdoor work in plant or construction settings with variable weather conditions.
- Frequent exposure to loud environments and industrial machinery.
- Must be flexible and adaptable to multiple work sites and schedules.
- May involve work in confined spaces, elevated platforms, or extreme temperatures.
Physical & Mental Requirements:
- Lift and carry up to 75 pounds.
- Set up and transport equipment weighing up to 50 pounds.
- Physically active work involving climbing, lifting, balancing, walking, and stooping.
- Work from ladders, scaffolding, and heights exceeding 100 ft.
- Tolerate extended hours standing and working in industrial environments.
- Must be able to operate safely in both indoor and outdoor conditions, including extreme heat or cold.
- Clear communication ability and sufficient physical reflexes to perform safety-critical duties.
- Demonstrate strong focus, multi-tasking ability, and sound judgment under pressure.
