Rope Access Level 3 NDT Team Leader

Position Summary:

Bilfinger UK is seeking an experienced Rope Access Level 3 NDT Team Leader to work on an ad-hoc basis across multiple onshore and offshore assets. This role requires a highly skilled technician who can lead NDT operations while performing rope access tasks in challenging environments. The ideal candidate will be IRATA Level 3 certified and hold PCN or CSWIP Level 2 qualifications in Ultrasonic Testing, with proven experience in inspection leadership and offshore safety compliance.

Responsibilities:

• Lead rope access NDT inspection teams onshore and offshore, ensuring work is conducted safely and in accordance with client and regulatory requirements.
• Perform and oversee Ultrasonic Testing (UT) inspections (minimum PCN/CSWIP 3.1, 3.2).
• Ensure accurate interpretation, evaluation, and documentation of NDT results.
• Provide on-site leadership, guidance, and mentoring to junior technicians.
• Coordinate with operations and management teams to execute inspection scopes effectively.
• Uphold Bilfinger's safety, quality, and performance standards throughout all project phases.
• Ensure full compliance with all offshore survival and operational certifications.
• Communicate findings and technical results clearly and concisely to stakeholders.

Essential Requirements:

• PCN / CSWIP Level 2 in Ultrasonic Testing (minimum 3.1, 3.2)
• IRATA Level 3 Rope Access Certification
• A minimum of 5 years' experience in a similar role
• BOSIET/FOET, UKOOA Medical, MIST, EBS, and First Aid certifications
• Strong leadership, problem-solving, and communication skills

Desirable Qualifications:

• PCN / CSWIP Level 2 in:
• Magnetic Particle Inspection (MPI)
• Dye Penetrant Inspection (DPI)
• Radiographic Testing (RT)
• Pulsed Eddy Current experience
• UT 3.7, 3.8, 3.9
• Computed/Digital Radiography
