Position Summary:

Acuren is currently seeking a CEDO Technician to join its growing team supporting maintenance operations at the Co-Op Refinery in Regina, Saskatchewan. This role offers a unique opportunity to contribute to a dynamic division within a leading NDT services company. The successful candidate will bring hands-on expertise in radiographic testing, a strong safety mindset, and the drive to work at a high technical level. Candidates must be local or willing to relocate and should either hold or be willing to obtain IRATA Rope Access certification.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Set up and calibrate radiographic testing equipment according to regulatory and technical specifications.
  • Conduct radiographic tests to detect discontinuities and ensure material and equipment integrity.
  • Devise and implement safe and effective testing methods in compliance with safety standards.
  • Ensure safe operation of exposure devices and strict adherence to radiation safety protocols.
  • Follow established inspection procedures to generate accurate, reliable test data.
  • Analyze and report anomalies or defects detected during testing.
  • Maintain professional and positive relationships with clients and team members.
  • Demonstrate a consistent commitment to safety, quality, and operational excellence.

Requirements:

  • CGSB CEDO Certification is mandatory.
  • IRATA Rope Access certification or willingness to obtain is required.
  • Proven experience in Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) or a related technical field.
  • Valid driver's license.
  • Demonstrated strong work ethic, self-motivation, and technical proficiency.
  • High awareness of safety and quality control practices.

Qualifications:

  • CEDO certification through CGSB (Canadian General Standards Board).
  • IRATA certification is a strong asset or must be pursued upon hiring.
  • Background in industrial NDT practices is preferred.
  • Physical fitness and capability to work at heights (rope access).
