Radiographer

Position Summary:

Applus+ UK is seeking an experienced Radiographic Testing (RT) Technician (RT Level 2) to join its Energy & Industry division in Willenhall, West Midlands. The position operates within a well-established Aerospace Testhouse environment, supporting key accounts through accurate nondestructive testing and quality control processes.

Responsibilities:

• Perform Radiographic Testing (RT) on metallic and non-metallic components, weldments, fabrications, and structures using established techniques.
• Maintain direct communication with the Operations Manager and Team Leader regarding Safety, Quality, Delivery, and Cost performance.
• Ensure all testing gear and consumables are verified for calibration prior to execution.
• Produce and submit detailed inspection reports in compliance with company quality control and NDT reporting procedures.
• Assist in training, guiding, and developing less experienced laboratory personnel.
• Participate actively in continuous improvement initiatives and complete company-mandated training schedules.
• Comply with the Inspector Declaration form regarding independence, impartiality, and operational integrity.

Qualifications Requirements:

• EN4179/NAS410 Radiographic Testing (RT) Level 2 certification OR PCN Level 2 certification in Radiographic Testing with an interest in aerospace.
• Demonstrable experience in an NDT, manufacturing, test house, or laboratory environment.
• Strong knowledge of radiographic inspection techniques, quality standards, and reporting systems.
• Proficiency with IT applications, including Microsoft Office.

Preferred Qualifications:

• Digital Radiography (DR) operating experience.
• Additional certifications in Penetrant Testing (PT), Magnetic Particle Testing (MT), or Ultrasonic Testing (UT).
• IOSH safety certification or Forklift Truck license.
• Prior experience in the aerospace industry.
