Position Summary:
The Project Manager / Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) leads and executes pipeline integrity projects while managing the local Radiation Safety Program and contributing to business development initiatives. This role is responsible for overseeing project performance, ensuring compliance with all safety and quality standards, and supporting the growth and development of the Frederick, CO operation.
The ideal candidate will be a hands-on professional with a strong technical background in radiography and inspection, proven leadership experience, and a commitment to safety, operational excellence, and client satisfaction.
Key Responsibilities:
- Lead and execute pipeline integrity inspection projects, ensuring on-time, safe, and high-quality delivery.
- Perform billable Non-Destructive Testing (NDT) and inspection work including Radiography (RT), Real-Time Radiography (RTR), and other relevant inspection methods.
- Serve as the designated Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) for the Frederick, CO facility, ensuring full compliance with all Aegeus, federal, and state radiation safety regulations.
- Collaborate with the Corporate RSO to maintain and enhance regional radiation safety programs.
- Identify and pursue new business opportunities, presenting Aegeus inspection solutions to new and existing clients.
- Define project scope, objectives, schedules, and financial targets in coordination with the management team.
- Recruit, train, and mentor personnel to meet operational and client needs.
- Support the development of new RTR crawler technologies to enhance inspection capabilities.
- Maintain accurate project documentation and reporting.
- Promote a strong culture of safety, quality, and continuous improvement across all operations.
Qualifications & Requirements:
- Education:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required.
- Experience:
- Minimum of five (5) years of project management or NDT supervisory experience, preferably in pipeline integrity.
- At least two (2) years of experience in inspection-related activities such as QC, NDT, or similar technical fields.
- Certifications & Licenses:
- Valid RT Level II certification (required).
- Radiation Safety Officer (RSO) credentials and demonstrated experience managing radiation programs.
- Must meet company driving requirements and be eligible under company insurance.
- Legal authorization to work in the United States (visa sponsorship not available).
- Skills & Attributes:
- Strong leadership and organizational abilities.
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Proficiency in inspection methodologies and industry safety practices.
- Ability to manage multiple projects simultaneously with attention to detail and deadlines.
- Commitment to maintaining compliance with all radiation and safety standards.
Compensation & Benefits:
- Competitive pay range: $60–$65 per hour
