Position Summary
Specific Accountabilities
- Analyze and evaluate factors such as business conditions, production capabilities, remanufacturing problems, statistical trends, and proposed process changes to ensure product quality and reliability.
- Conduct internal audits across departments and business units to ensure compliance with company policies and procedures; assist external auditors from industry quality associations.
- Research, compile, and review company procedures for compliance and effectiveness.
- Monitor, review, and conduct subcontractor audits in collaboration with supplier development teams.
- Collect and analyze quality data to identify trends and address non-conformance issues.
- Report findings and propose solutions to production, materials, and company leadership to resolve specification or process issues.
- Oversee warranty processes, including investigation, root cause analysis, corrective action, and follow-up to drive continuous improvement.
- Encourage and facilitate continuous improvement activities within business units.
- Review engineering changes, technical product modifications, and production build classification amendments.
- Ensure compliance with safety requirements and promptly report unsafe practices or conditions.
- Execute special projects as assigned.
- Implement EHS management systems and ensure compliance with corporate and regulatory requirements.
- Conduct safety inspections, perform risk assessments, and maintain records of all safety and environmental requirements.
- Collect and report EHS data to support compliance and performance monitoring.
- Perform other EHS-related duties as assigned by the supervisor.
Requirements
- Degree in Mechanical, Aerospace, or Aeronautical Engineering (or equivalent).
- Minimum 3–5 years of relevant experience in an aerospace approved maintenance organization (AMO) environment.
- Training in Air Legislation and Part 145 requirements.
- Training in QMS AS9110/9100 and audit requirements; AS9110/9100 Lead Assessor certification or equivalent highly preferred.
- Proficiency in root cause analysis methods and continuous improvement techniques.
- Familiarity with Workplace Safety and Health regulations; Certified Safety Officer certification highly valued.
- Experience with special processes such as heat treatment, NDT, thermal spray, chemical processing, and welding preferred.
- Experience in metallurgy testing or certification from a Central Coatings Lab is considered a strong advantage.
