Job Summary:
Join Mistras Group as a QA/QC Inspector based in Kenai, Alaska, where you'll take on the role of a client representative inspector. In this position, you will play a crucial role in ensuring quality assurance and quality control throughout pre-fabrication, repairs, and alterations. Your main focus will be to uphold industry standards, codes, jurisdictional requirements, and procedures. This role requires permanent residence in the Kenai, AK area. For the right candidate willing to relocate, we offer relocation packages to facilitate a smooth transition to Kenai, AK.
Major Responsibilities/Activities:
- Verify the qualifications and certifications of all parties involved in the project before commencement.
- Develop, communicate, and approve Inspection Test Plans (ITP) in collaboration with all stakeholders.
- Evaluate inspection and examination results against relevant codes, standards, and regulatory specifications.
- Communicate, track, and resolve deficiencies and repair actions with involved parties.
- Act as the Authorized Piping Inspector by ASME or API standards.
- Contribute to building piping circuits and perform diverse tasks within the PCMS.
- Demonstrate proficiency in industry codes (ASME B31.3, B31.4, B31.8, API 1104, etc.).
- Exhibit effective communication and reporting skills with a proactive approach.
- Keep program documents up to date with project-specific information.
Minimum Requirements:
- A minimum of 10 years of QA/QC inspection experience.
- A current AWS CWI (Certified Welding Inspector) certificate is mandatory.
- API 570 certification is required; API 653/510 certifications are preferred.
- Level II UTT, MT, and PT certifications are mandatory; UTSW II and RT II certifications are preferred.
- Proficient understanding of Isometric Drawings, P&IDs, Welding Procedures, NDE Procedures, WPS, WPQ, and PQR.
- Experience in North Slope, AK is preferred.
- Demonstrated quality assurance experience within oil and gas facilities and pipelines.
- Familiarity with PCMS (Piping Circuit Management System) is advantageous.
- Strong proficiency in computer applications (MS Excel, MS Word, MS Outlook) and adaptability to "database" programs.
- Excellent organizational skills.
Essential Physical Functions:
Ability to lift to 50 lbs frequently.
