Position Summary
The Products & Applications Expert serves as a key reference for both internal teams and clients, providing deep knowledge of Eddyfi Technologies' products and their applications. This role includes understanding client technological needs and collaborating with internal departments to propose effective solutions. The expert contributes to standard product line improvements and promotion and supports various internal departments in their activities.
Key Responsibilities
- Support the sales team during demonstrations, customer visits, and technical calls by presenting product capabilities and answering questions.
- Analyze customer needs to recommend standard products or collaborate with the customized applications team on tailored solutions.
- Conduct technical feasibility tests to ensure proposed solutions meet performance and requirement standards.
- Train customers on using standard products through hands-on sessions and educational materials.
- Create technical content with the marketing team, such as blogs, webinars, and workshops, ensuring accuracy and relevance.
- Participate in conferences and write technical articles to demonstrate the company’s expertise and promote products.
- Provide post-sales technical support, including troubleshooting and customer communication.
- Manage semi-custom product projects by coordinating a multidisciplinary team to meet quality, time, and budget goals.
- Support production through improved documentation (assembly, testing, troubleshooting), team training, and product transfer to manufacturing.
- Collaborate closely with R&D to inform product development and improvements based on field feedback and application testing.
Required Qualifications and Skills
- Bachelor’s degree in engineering, a college diploma in science, or a related field
- Minimum 3 years of relevant experience
- Advanced verbal and written English skills
- Knowledge of electromagnetic inspection technologies and the NDT market (asset)
- Excellent problem-solving abilities and a customer-focused mindset
- Strong interpersonal and collaborative skills
- Ability to train, communicate clearly with customers, and work across internal teams
- Competence in writing concise technical reports
- Ability to manage deadlines and prioritize tasks efficiently
- Autonomous, detail-oriented, and committed to high-quality outcomes
- Willingness to travel frequently, both nationally and internationally
