Phased Array Technician

Position Summary:

Acuren Inspection is currently recruiting for Nested Phased Array Technicians to support their operations in Freeport, Texas. This role involves setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting tests to ensure quality, detecting discontinuities (defects), and evaluating results in accordance with applicable specifications and standards.

Key Responsibilities:

• Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment.
• Conduct tests to ensure quality or detect discontinuities (defects) using NDT methods of inspection.
• Establish techniques for proper examination of objects under inspection, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations.
• Apply testing criteria in accordance with applicable specifications or standards and evaluate results.
• Organize and report test results.
• Perform specialized inspections.
• Instruct and supervise others as needed.
• Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.

Requirements:

• Phased Array Level II Technician certification required (TOFD credentials and fracture mechanics experience preferred).
• Must be able to pass a site Performance Demonstration Qualification (PDQ) onsite by client Level III.
• A high school diploma or equivalent; some colleges prefer it.
• NDT Level II UT Phased Array Certification.
• EPRI certificate or willingness to obtain one.
• Technical background in NDT methods and procedures with five years of phased array experience.
• Demonstrated ability to perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret results of inspections effectively.
• Knowledge of NDT equipment.
