Position Summary:
Acuren is currently recruiting for experienced PAUT-TOFD Technicians to support project-based work around the United States. The successful candidate will be responsible for setting up and calibrating nondestructive testing equipment, conducting inspections, and ensuring the quality and integrity of materials and components using Phased Array Ultrasonic Testing (PAUT) and Time of Flight Diffraction (TOFD) techniques. This role requires a strong technical background in NDT methods, a commitment to safety, and the ability to effectively interpret and report inspection results.
Key Responsibilities:
- Set up and calibrate nondestructive testing equipment to ensure accurate and reliable results.
- Conduct tests using PAUT and TOFD methods to detect discontinuities (defects) and ensure the quality of materials and components.
- Establish and implement examination techniques, ensuring strict adherence to safety regulations and industry standards.
- Apply testing criteria according to applicable specifications and standards, and evaluate the results of inspections.
- Organize and report test results in a clear and timely manner.
- Perform specialized inspections as required by project scope.
- Instruct and supervise other technicians as needed.
- Perform other job-related tasks as assigned by management.
Requirements:
- High school diploma or equivalent required; some college education preferred.
- NDT Level II certification in Ultrasonic Testing (UT) Phased Array and TOFD.
- Technical background in NDT methods and procedures, with at least five years of experience in phased array testing.
- Demonstrated ability to effectively perform assigned NDT tasks and interpret inspection results.
- Knowledge of and experience with NDT equipment and its maintenance.
- Strong commitment to safety and adherence to safety regulations.
