NDT - Ultrasonic Inspector

Position Summary:

The NDT Ultrasonic Inspector is responsible for performing calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations to determine acceptance or rejection of materials in accordance with applicable codes, standards, and specifications. The role includes accurately recording test results and providing on-the-job training and guidance to Level I technicians while maintaining familiarity with the scope and limitations of the NDT method used.

Key Responsibilities:

• Perform calibrations, nondestructive tests, and evaluations for acceptance or rejection determinations based on relevant codes, standards, and specifications
• Accurately record results and all associated testing data
• Maintain strong understanding of the scope and limitations of the NDT method being used
• Provide on-the-job training and guidance to Level I technicians as assigned

Skills / Qualifications:

• High School Diploma or GED required
• Ability to monitor own work to ensure accuracy, quality, and confidentiality of sensitive customer data
• Ability to work in plant or shop environments around production equipment with high noise levels
• Ability to wear required safety equipment for personal protection
• Technical/mechanical aptitude and computer proficiency preferred
• Ability to lift and carry up to 50 pounds
