Position Summary:

As an NDT Trainee at Applus+ in Manchester, CT, you will embark on a journey to acquire comprehensive knowledge and practical skills in inspection services. This entry-level position serves as the foundational step for a rewarding career in our organization. You will work closely with experienced Technicians, learning the essentials of inspection methods, safety protocols, and operational practices.

Key Responsibilities:

• Collaborate with Technicians to execute various inspection tasks on projects.
• Assist in organizing and reporting the services provided by the team.
• Prepare, set up, and maintain all necessary documentation, ensuring compliance with client and company standards.
• Establish work area boundaries and monitor access, preventing unauthorized personnel from entering.
• Strictly adhere to Applus+ and industry-mandated safe work practices and procedures.
• Maintain an organized inventory of necessary supplies, replenishing them as needed for assigned methods.
• Uphold the cleanliness and orderliness of all work areas.
• Observe test procedures and product compliance criteria to gain an understanding of internal and industry specifications.
• Acquire the skills and knowledge required to perform inspection methods and achieve certification.
• Gain proficiency in the documentation processes essential for inspection testing.
• Demonstrate excellent communication skills, and professionalism, and promote a positive customer service attitude both internally and externally.
• Prioritize safety through the proper use of Personal Protective Equipment (PPE) and safe work practices.

Key Requirements:

• A High School Diploma or GED is a mandatory educational qualification.
• While prior experience is not required, a strong interest in the inspection industry is advantageous.
• Candidates must possess legal authorization to work in the United States. Employment eligibility verification will be required at the time of hire. Please note that visa sponsorship is not available for this position.
